Cost Analyst

Cost Analyst Use your financial, analytical, and statistical skills to help the U.S. Navy and other military clients maximize their funding to protect national security. As an Operations Research Analyst you will review complex financial and cost data, build cost analysis models, perform cost‑benefit and cost‑savings analyses, and design leadership presentations and dashboards. Responsibilities Build, manage, and improve complex financial and cost models, including Program Office Estimates, Independent Government Cost Estimates, and ad‑hoc models. Conduct advanced statistical analysis using Python or R, and perform MonteCarlo simulation with Crystal Ball. Analyze spend plans and budget inputs, develop program briefs and acquisition documentation, and participate in programmatic meetings. Develop defensible estimates to help clients navigate reviews, approvals, and planning processes. Present data to leadership through interactive dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or similar visualization tools. Perform what‑if and economic analyses and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Qualifications Experience performing detailed cost or financial estimation, analysis, or forecasting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex logic‑based formulas (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, etc.). Ability to apply statistical analysis to forecast future outcomes or inform decisions. Secret clearance required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Ability to obtain an ICEAA certification within 90 days of start date (nice to have). Nice to Have Experience working on a multidisciplinary, collaborative team. Budget planning, preparation, and execution for acquisition programs. Exposure to U.S. government, DoD, or U.S. Navy environments. Experience with Crystal Ball, Tableau, PowerBI, PowerQuery, Python, or R. Master’s degree in Operations Research, Economics, or a STEM field. Professional certifications such as PCEA, CCEA, SCEC, or PMP. Clearance & Certifications Applicants must have a Secret clearance. The selected candidate will be required to obtain an ICEAA certification within 90 days of the start date. Compensation Projected salary range: $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by location, education, experience, and contract requirements.
