Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in a medical/surgical unit. Description: 225-bed specialty care facility with various medical and surgical services. Offers Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine & Weight Management, Women's Health, and Pediatrics. Region's premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services. Located in a central region within the upper peninsula. Largest community in the area. Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients aged 18-125. Unit profile includes telemetry monitors, IV pumps, bladder scanners, and EHR systems. Patient ratios are maintained at 5:1 to 6:1. Dress code requires scrubs in Galaxy Blue or Navy. Fingernails must be clean and of appropriate length in compliance with hand hygiene policies. Tattoos that may be considered offensive must be covered. Excessive jewelry is not allowed.
