Academic Surgical Pathologist: Gastrointestinal Pathologist

The Emory University Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine has a full-time academic faculty position available in gastrointestinal surgical pathology. We seek a non-tenure track Surgical Pathologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join an interactive, collegial and academically productive group of faculty. The division receives over 20,000 cases across the entire spectrum of gastrointestinal pathology, including Whipple specimens, and approximately 200 orthotopic liver transplants per year, in addition to a steady consultation volume in a subspecialized and digitized setting from two hospitals with 15 gastrointestinal surgeons and 10 gastrointestinal oncologists. A large AP/CP residency program, 14 accredited subspecialty fellowships (including two gastrointestinal pathology fellowships), advanced molecular diagnostic capabilities, and close ties to the NCI-designated Winship Cancer Institute provide abundant opportunities for clinical and translational scholarship and teaching. The successful candidate will be board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology and also be eligible for medical licensure in Georgia. Fellowship training and/or expertise in gastrointestinal pathology is required. Compensation and faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
