Position Title Management Analyst, Social & Multimedia Location Mission College, Santa Clara, CA Assignment 100% full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, 12 months per year, anticipated start date August 24, 2026. Schedule may include evening or weekend hours as needed. Position Summary The Department of Marketing and Public Relations is seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Management Analyst, Social & Multimedia. The role is responsible for developing, producing, and analyzing multimedia content and managing the college’s social media presence across digital platforms. This position plays a key role in shaping the College’s online voice, engaging diverse student and community audiences, and using data‑driven insights to inform outreach strategies. Key Responsibilities Develop, create, and manage multimedia content, including photography, videography, social media graphics, reels, short‑form videos, and other digital assets that support institutional goals. Manage and maintain the college’s social media presence across multiple platforms, ensuring timely, engaging, brand‑consistent content. Serve as the college’s primary event photographer: plan, capture, edit, and organize photographic coverage of campus events, student activities, academic programs, employee recognition events, and institutional milestones. Provide live multimedia coverage of campus events, programs, ceremonies, and special activities, including real‑time content creation for social media and institutional communications. Collaborate with the Marketing & Content Strategist to amplify institutional messaging through video, social media, and multimedia storytelling. Develop and implement social media content calendars supporting enrollment, retention, student engagement, and institutional priorities. Monitor social media trends, audience engagement, and platform analytics to optimize content performance and inform strategy. Utilize AI‑powered tools and emerging technologies to support content creation, scheduling, analytics, and audience engagement efforts. Support digital marketing and recruitment campaigns through multimedia storytelling and targeted social content. Coordinate livestreams, event coverage, interviews, and multimedia projects for college programs and special events. Ensure all digital content complies with accessibility standards, district policies, copyright requirements, and branding guidelines. Generate reports and recommendations based on social media performance, audience engagement, and campaign outcomes. Work collaboratively with instructional departments, Student Services, Athletics, and administrative offices to identify and promote student success stories, programs, services, and events. Assist with media relations, promotional campaigns, and institutional communications initiatives as assigned. Stay current on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in social media, digital marketing, multimedia production, and higher education communications. Minimum Qualifications At least two years of responsible technical or professional administrative experience in a college or university environment. Equivalent to possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, social science, computer science, or a related field. Understanding of, and sensitivity to, the diverse academic, socio‑economic, ethnic, religious, cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty, and staff. Desired Qualifications Experience developing and executing social media strategies in a higher education or public sector environment. Demonstrated success creating high‑performing multimedia content (video, reels, motion graphics) that drives engagement and enrollment outcomes. Ability to capture high‑quality photographs and video content at campus events, programs, ceremonies, and college activities for use in social media, marketing campaigns, publications, and websites. Experience managing multiple social media platforms with a consistent brand voice and strategic messaging. Familiarity with AI‑powered tools for content creation, scheduling, analytics, and social listening. Experience using social media management platforms such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar tools. Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including audience targeting, campaign planning, and performance optimization. Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support institutional goals and initiatives. Experience mentoring or supervising student workers, interns, or content contributors. Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive communication practices. Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable content and strategy improvements. Experience managing livestream or live event coverage for institutional, educational, or public‑facing events. Knowledge of photography, lighting, audio capture, and short‑form mobile video production techniques. Experience developing multimedia and social media content that supports student recruitment, enrollment, and engagement campaigns. Familiarity with accessibility standards for video and digital media content, including captioning, transcripts, and alternative text. Salary and Benefits Anticipated hiring range: $9,387.67–$10,262.58 monthly (WVMCEA Salary Schedule, Range 70, Steps A‑C).
