Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse to provide specialized mental health care in a fast-paced setting. The nurse must be prepared to start immediately and handle diverse patient needs with professionalism and expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' mental health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses according to physician orders.
• Implement crisis prevention strategies and manage behavioral interventions.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and coping strategies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York State (NYS) RN license.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of psychiatric nursing experience.
• Have at least 2 years of travel nursing experience, with documented renewals preferred.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certifications.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations.
