Tax Manager - Public

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join a public accounting firm in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role will lead tax engagements for corporate clients, provide thorough technical review, and support accurate, timely delivery of tax filings and related advisory work. The ideal candidate brings strong public accounting experience, sound knowledge of corporate tax matters, and the ability to guide clients and internal teams through complex tax issues.Responsibilities:• Manage tax engagements for business clients, overseeing planning, review, and completion of corporate tax work across multiple entities.• Review federal, state, and local tax returns with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and consistency with current regulations.• Provide technical oversight for C corporation and S corporation tax matters, including research, analysis, and resolution of complex issues.• Supervise the preparation and review of annual income tax provisions and related supporting documentation.• Advise clients on entity formation considerations and the tax implications associated with organizational structure decisions.• Utilize CCH ProSystem fx and related tax applications to prepare, review, and manage return workflows and filing requirements.• Support sales and use tax compliance activities through review, coordination, and issue resolution as needed.• Mentor tax staff, monitor engagement progress, and help ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
