Role Overview

 

As a Physician Referrals Representative, you will develop and coordinate a strong referring presence across our facilities. Your primary focus will be facilitating relationships with referring physicians, identifying and resolving access issues, and promoting our medical specialists and services. This role is crucial in enhancing relationship development and ensuring referring physicians are well-informed about our initiatives and educational opportunities.

What You Will Do

• Facilitate relationships with referring physicians to ensure smooth access to our facilities.
• Identify and resolve any issues regarding referring physicians' access to our organization's facilities.
• Promote our medical specialists and services to referring physicians within the applicable service area.
• Educate referring physicians about new and existing organizational initiatives.
• Facilitate continuing medical education opportunities for referring physicians.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare relationship management or physician referrals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve access issues effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical education and continuing education programs.
• Familiarity with healthcare initiatives and service promotion.

The individual will process referrals and schedule specialist appointments for patients. The individual will also answer office phones, schedule appointments, and work check in at the reception desk.

 

This is a busy, one physician office with 3 other staff members.
