Clinical Supervisor (BCBA)

POSITION OVERVIEW The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment and analysis of the patient’s skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, overseeing the implementation of treatment, collaboration with and training of caregivers, and ongoing coaching and training of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans are designed to address areas of medical necessity and may occur in various settings including the CARD center, the patient’s home, school, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full-time position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Uses clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient Develop and maintain treatment plans Ensure that all supervision hours are at 100% treatment adherence each month Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths Analyze challenging behaviors to identify the function of the behavior Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols Direct behavior technicians in the implementation of new or revised treatment protocols Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians Primarily work physically within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress towards treatment goals and adjust treatment protocols based on data Update treatment plans at least once per month, based on patient response Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory and therapy hours Communicate treatment response to caregivers and payers Coordinate care with other professionals Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments Include caregivers as part of the treatment team with ongoing caregiver collaboration meetings Engage with payers for funding meetings (e.g., IEP, peer reviews) as needed Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements Collaborate with center leadership and other stakeholders Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS Master’s degree in Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis or related field required Certification as a Behavior Analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board required Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Empathetic and compassionate with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive, solution-focused attitude Ability to work independently to problem solve and exercise clinical judgment Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong time management and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Outlook; able to use new computer systems and iPads Desire to continuously learn and develop skillsets Willingness to work in various locations (center, patient home, etc.) Willingness to work with a variety of patients Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance Must pass tuberculosis test Proficiency in English, written and spoken WORK ENVIRONMENT Treatment may occur in a variety of settings including the patient’s home, the CARD center, the patient’s school, the community, or via telehealth. Environments may be indoors or outdoors and may require moving between locations. Work may involve exposure to loud noises at times. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Be able to work with patients seated on the floor or in chairs; move frequently to gather materials and provide instruction Occasionally move to assist or block movements; respond to aggressive behaviors as needed Be able to lift up to 30 lbs while assisting patients Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with applicable laws.
