Eye Care for Animals is looking for a f ull - t ime Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician to join our specialty team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Annapolis, MD.


Shift/Schedule: 8 am to 5:30 pm (may include after-hours and/or on-call responsibilities)


About You

Y ou'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing end- to- end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients. You'll partner closely with Doctor's Rachel and Anthony Lisankis , a team of boarded ophthalmology veterinarians.

Your Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1-2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant (direct patient care)

• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred

• Superior/advanced technical skills

• Proficiency in placing IV catheters and pulling blood

• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)

• Possesses a positive work attitude

• Self-motivated

• Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $23-$24/hour (Non-Credentialed) to $25-$27/hour (Credentialed). The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
