The Consolidated School District of New Britain is currently seeking applications for substitute school nurses. We prefer candidates with experience in pediatrics, emergency medicine/triage, or public health nursing. Successful applicants should be comfortable working independently and adept at multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current, uninterrupted State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License.
Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Current BLS certification.
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to function autonomously.
Excellent assessment and communication skills, with experience documenting in electronic medical records.
Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
Proficient in adapting nursing principles and teaching techniques for various pediatric age groups.
Experience working with diverse populations.
