Field Service Technician

Our client is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be part of a customer-facing, technical field break/fix group supporting HP's PC Products customers. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot hardware issues logically and systematically, and the confidence to communicate clearly with customers on-site.

Pay Range: $20.39 - $26

What's the Job?

• Provide on-site, customer-facing hardware support for HP PC and related products, including Laptop, Desktop, RPOS, and Workstation systems.
• Perform reactive field service events such as configuring hardware/software and simple network components, installing units, and completing unit repair.
• Logically and systematically troubleshoot printer hardware issues; printer knowledge is a huge plus.
• Manage multiple stressors in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment while maintaining a positive, customer-focused approach.
• Support escalation and assist in technical action plans to remediate PC/print issues, while understanding the business impact of service delivery.

What's Needed?

• Onsite customer-facing experience and strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written), especially in person.
• Technical/mechanical hardware repair experience with demonstrated aptitude for learning new technology.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including working with tools and various alignment apparatus.
• Ability to balance and prioritize multiple activities and issues while adhering to standard technological/mechanical and business procedures.
• High School diploma or equivalent, plus additional hardware technology training (college preferred).
