Maintenance Mechanic

We're hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in West Valley City, UT, paying $28/hr to keep critical processing equipment running in a food manufacturing environment. If you have hands‑on experience troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems — and you want a consistent 4-day workweek — this role is worth a close look. What You'll Do Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480V, 3-phase motors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, HMIs, and instrumentation Support and execute the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program to reduce unplanned downtime Complete work orders on time and document all work performed using maintenance software and shift logs Assist with equipment changeovers and production line startups Identify needed parts, manage inventory, and maintain reorder lists Follow all LOTO, GMP, OSHA, and SQF food safety standards without exception Work independently through your shift and submit a written shift report at end of day What You Bring Required Hands‑on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems in a manufacturing setting Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email) High School Diploma or GED Ability to pass pre‑employment background check, drug screen, and mechanical aptitude assessment Preferred 3+ years of maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing or food processing facility Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs Experience with compressed air systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic refrigeration Technical school certification or associate degree in electrical or mechanical trades Schedule & Shift Monday through Thursday, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM Must be available to work Fridays when required Pay & Compensation $28.00 per hour REASONS YOU'LL LOVE WORKING FOR YES!
