INPATIENT REGISTERED DIETITIAN

Position Overview Registered Dietitian (Per‑Diem Contractor) – On‑site Inpatient position available at Reasons Eating Disorder Center, BHC Alhambra Hospital. About the Center Reasons Eating Disorder Center seeks professionals with experience working with eating disorders, trauma, substance use, and LGBTQIA+ communities to provide compassionate care to adult and adolescent patients in its inpatient eating disorder and behavioral health programs. Job Responsibilities The Program Dietitian works with the attending physician, Director of Virtual and Nutrition Services, and the treatment team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients in the eating disorder and behavioral health programs. This includes completing nutritional assessments, developing and monitoring meal plans, and providing patient, group, and family nutritional education. The Dietitian may also educate referral sources about eating disorders and the program. Perform nutritional assessments on all patients enrolled in the eating disorders program and document findings in a timely manner. Consult with patients and family members concerning nutritional needs, goals, and exercise goals. Develop meal plans for program patients based on their individual energy needs. Supervise clients at mealtimes to ensure meal plan compliance. Qualifications Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) under the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in nutritional studies. Experience working with eating disorder patients strongly preferred; education in the field may be accepted in lieu of experience.
