Purchasing Coordinator

The Purchasing Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting daily operations by managing stockrooms, maintaining supply levels, coordinating with internal teams, and handling purchasing activities to ensure the smooth functioning of laboratory and business operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage stockrooms by overseeing and restocking consumable supplies across laboratory, office, maintenance, and shipping and receiving areas.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by tracking expiration dates, rotating stock, reviewing supply needs with lab staff, and keeping products current.
• Support team communication by attending operations meetings and sharing timely information with internal teams and regulatory groups.
• Handle inventory systems by managing supplies in VWR Inventory Manager and processing supply requests.
• Execute purchasing tasks by releasing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, reviewing pricing, and evaluating supplier performance.
• Set up and maintain vendor records by entering new suppliers into internal systems and managing required forms and payment terms.
• Complete additional operational tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience in purchasing.
• Strong communication skills (timely, good grammar, professional).
• Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Good job tenure with a minimum of 2 years per role.
• Experience using a CRM or ERP software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Cycle Counting experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The company is experiencing growth and has taken on many new clients and business opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
