Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities Prepare complex tax returns for a variety of entities, including: S-Corporations C-Corporations Partnerships Nonprofit organizations Review income tax returns prepared by Associates and provide guidance and feedback. Assist in coordinating tax engagements, including client communications, staffing requirements, documentation, and project timelines. Research and analyze complex tax issues and collaborate with senior team members to develop effective client solutions. Supervise and mentor less experienced staff members on engagements and special projects. Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor. Contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand services with existing clients and attract new clients. Qualifications Education & Credentials Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university. Active CPA license required. Experience 2–5 years of public accounting experience, preferably with a focus on taxation. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and observation skills. Sound professional judgment and skepticism. Ability to work effectively with colleagues, staff, and clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , including Word , Excel , and Outlook . Experience with tax and accounting software preferred.
