Clinical Laboratory Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Clinical Laboratory Technician to support an ongoing Flu/COVID clinical research study. Working within a hospital laboratory environment alongside a team of approximately 20 professionals, you will perform various laboratory procedures, basic research, lab maintenance, and administrative duties under the direction of the Lab Supervisor. Key responsibilities include daily operations & maintenance, assays & research, quality & compliance, training & collaboration, project support, administrative duties, compliance & education.
Key success factors include proficiency in basic lab techniques, ability to perform lab maintenance tasks, strong knowledge of quality control principles, skill in using computer software related to research needs, capability of instructing others in laboratory and safety protocols, and flexibility with work hours to accommodate sample processing needs.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Life Science (or post-secondary biological science education), 12 years of laboratory experience, and may require Hepatitis B (HB) and Influenza (flu) vaccinations.
