MTSS Building Coordinator - Senior High

MTSS Coordinator Description: MTSS (RTI) Team Member; MTSS (RTI) Coordinator MTSS Handbook; RTI Tier 1,2,3 Handbook Response to Intervention is one component of the district's Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. RTI is an instructional framework that includes universal screening of all students, multiple tiers of instruction and support services, and an integrated data collection and assessment system to inform decisions at each tier of instruction. Job Duties: RTI team members will work with their building administrator to complete the following: Actively participates in the problem solving process to identify / recommend interventions and resources differentiated by area of academic need Formally meet at least twice per month outside of contracted hours for a minimum of one hour per meeting, maintaining 75% attendance rate Use Mansfield City Schools MTSS Handbook to implement MTSS Structure and assigned roles Provide training for use of and implementation of interventions, resources, and progress monitoring Collaborate with and provide feedback to TBTs, BLT, PBIS, Administration, and Special Education Leadership Engage staff with a structured literacy certification process as needed in MTSS. Assist/support the monitoring of student data at all 3 tiers of MTSS. School Teams Each school will have one coordinator and the number of team members allotted below. Buildings may elect to have less than the allotted team members. Having more than the allocated team members requires written consent from the superintendent. Sherman Elementary: 1 Coordinator + 7 Team Members = 8 Malabar Intermediate: 1 Coordinator + 7 Team Members = 8 Mansfield Middle: 1 Coordinator + 3 Team Members = 4 Mansfield Senior High: 1 Coordinator + 5 Team Members = 6 Spanish Immersion: 1 Coordinator + 3 Team Members = 4 Springmill STEM: 1 Coordinator + 3 Team Members = 4 Note: In order to meet Dyslexia requirements, teams should work to have at least one member who has completed or is in the process of completing an approved Structured Literacy Certification process. Additional Consultation may come from the School Psychologist and related service providers. Compensation MTSS (RTI) Team Member – 2% supplemental MTSS (RTI) Team Coordinator – 5% supplemental Recommended Roles (Roles May Be Combined Based on Team Composition) RTI Coordinator/ Facilitator Before the Meeting: Finalizes the agenda; Prepares data and feedback to the Building Leadership Team and Building Principal During the Meeting: Facilitates the meeting After the Meeting: Communicates assigned tasks; Communicates with parents for Tier 2 and Tier 3 support; Communicates with Pupil Services, as necessary (ie. referrals); Completes the R-TFI (as needed / requested) Data Manager Before the Meeting: Prepares summary of RTI Tier 2/Tier 3 participation During the Meeting: Fill out the Tier 2/Tier 3 Tracking Forms After the Meeting: Gathers and organizes intervention data Recorder/ Time Keeper Before the Meeting: Generate Google calendar Meeting Events; Attach agenda to Google calendar invite During the Meeting: Maintains Intervention Tracking Form for each student; Maintain meeting minutes within the agenda; Keep discussion on-track After the Meeting: Creates next agenda Liaison Before the Meeting: Communicates with other existing building teams (ie: TBTs, BLT, PBIS) and building principal(s).; Receive and manage referrals During the Meeting: Communicates to the RtI team necessary information from other building teams; Present new referrals to RtI team After the Meeting: Communicates with other existing building teams when the RtI team meets (ie: TBTs, BLT, PBIS) Reading Specialist Before the Meeting: Research and maintain body of evidence based reading intervention During the Meeting: Recommends Tier 2/Tier 3 Intervention After the Meeting: Provides support to intervention providers; Intervention Fidelity Checks Math Specialist Before the Meeting: Research and maintain body of evidence based math intervention During the Meeting: Recommends Tier 2/Tier 3 Intervention After the Meeting: Provides support to intervention providers; Intervention Fidelity Checks #J-18808-Ljbffr Mansfield City Schools
