Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining safe, functional, and efficient building operations across multiple facilities. This role performs hands‑on building maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support within warehouse and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with general building systems, repairs, and facility support operations in an industrial setting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform general facility maintenance including lighting, minor electrical work, plumbing repairs, and basic building repairs. Support preventative maintenance activities for building systems and facility equipment Experience with Programmable Logic Controller systems required, including ability to troubleshoot automation issues, read ladder logic, and support secondary operations equipment. Conduct routine inspections of building conditions and identify maintenance or safety concerns proactively Maintain warehouse infrastructure including racking, workstations, office setups, and facility layout changes Assist with installation and relocation of desks, fixtures, shelving, and equipment Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs, maintenance, and facility services Troubleshoot and resolve general maintenance issues in a timely manner Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and company policies Maintain organized maintenance records and communicate completed work as needed Respond to daily maintenance requests across assigned facilities Support general facility appearance and operational readiness Follows all safety, housekeeping and company policies and procedures Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and job assignments as required QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED required Minimum 2–5 years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or industrial maintenance experience required Experience working in warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environments strongly preferred Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and building systems Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Strong troubleshooting and hands‑on problem‑solving skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
