Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer/Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks working for our commercial glazing division. This role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards. We offer on the job training to allow for career advancement and additional earning potential. A drug test and background check are required before starting work.
Duties
- Assist skilled tradespeople in various tasks, including curtainwall install, storefront install, glass railing install, and other misc. glazing tasks.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled workers to complete tasks effectively.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely under supervision.
- Perform basic measurements and assist in the setup of equipment or materials for projects.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving workflow and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in labor or helper roles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is a plus.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
