CNC Operator

CNC Operator Up to $35/Hour for a CNC Operator in Pottstown, PA! Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Pay Rate: $30 - $35/Hour depending upon experience Responsibilities: Program Haas CNC milling and turning centers using G-code and CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM, etc.). Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T specifications, and work instructions. Set up machines, fixtures, tooling, and workholding for production runs. Perform first-piece inspections and make program or offset adjustments as needed. Optimize machining processes to improve cycle times, tool life, and product quality. Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material requirements. Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and program issues to minimize downtime. Operate precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges. Maintain accurate setup sheets, tooling lists, and production documentation. Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment remains in proper working condition. Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support manufacturing goals. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; technical school or machining certification preferred. 35+ years of CNC programming and setup experience, preferably with Haas equipment. Proficiency with Haas controls and G-code programming. Experience with CAD/CAM software. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T. Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and workholding techniques. Knowledge of various materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and plastics. Ability to use precision inspection equipment. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
