Accounting SpecialistUAF College of Natural Science and Mathematics Academic and Research Business Office (CARBO) is seeking an Accounting Specialist to help support the financial backbone of our academic programs. This entry-level position will produce accurate reports, reconcile accounts, and assist faculty and staff with fiscal questions related to teaching and research activities. As the CARBO Accounting Specialist, you'll work with financial data, run queries, prepare journal vouchers, track budgets, and provide information that supports CNSM's day-to-day operations. You'll also assist with financial activities related to faculty research and provide backup purchasing support, giving you exposure to a variety of fiscal and administrative functions across the college.To excel in this position, you should enjoy problem-solving and working with detailed financial information. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, comfortable with spreadsheets, and willing to learn automated accounting tools and processes. This is a full-time, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
