MRI Billing and Collections Specialist

We are a busy and established billing company with a full-time position in the Radiology Medical Billing & Collections department. We are seeking a medical billing & collections specialist that has 2+ years' experience in No-Fault, WC, NY & NJ PIP claims, working with verification request responses, appeals, follow ups, and aging reports. Candidate MUST have knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 codes.

• Payment posting
• Work denials
• Claim follow-ups
• Arbitration/ Liens
• Collections
• Verification request/responses
• Aging reports for accounts receivable
• Calling insurance companies at various stages of the claims process
• Negotiation
• Preparing reports
• Prepare medical records

*Desired Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in the medical field
• Knowledge of No-Fault, WC, NY & NJ PIP claim rules and regulations
• Thorough knowledge and working experience of CPT and ICD10 codes, HIPAA, medical terminology
• Excellent customer service mindset and superb communication skills (written, oral and electronic)
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate skills in Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
