The WCESC is hiring for full time and part time positions. Candidates must have an RN or LPN licensure and assignments will be assigned based on skill experience. Training will be provided for positions as needed. Candidates must also have basic life support (CPR) certification and pass a BCI/FBI background check. Requires a high degree of motivation and self-discipline. Tasks must be carried out with little supervision or direction. 3. Ability to work in a non-traditional work environment; i.e., home visits, where conditions are disagreeable and be able to deal with conflict and handle deadlines. 4. Ability to keep information about families and children confidential. 5. Computer proficient. 6. Valid Ohio driver's license. 7. Access to own motor vehicle. 8. Effective communication skills in English. 9. Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted. 10. Ability to maneuver stairs unassisted. 11. Pass criminal background check.General Duties: Carries out routine nursing duties daily (e.g., accurately administers medication, medical treatments, provides first aid, monitors participant for communicable illness, monitors other illnesses, etc.)Essential Functions: 1. Obtains physicians orders as needed, supervises and maintains accurate health records as required. 2. Documents changes in health status of students; maintains accurate medication and treatment records. 3. Acts as liaison with families, guardians, and residential providers in the area of health care needs. 4. Assists with appropriate referrals to health care agencies; assists with development of infection control procedures. 5. Assists with the development of self-medication programs as appropriate. 6. Attends staff meetings, serves as a member of IEP team and other committees as assigned; works with other professionals to develop and implement IEP goals. 7. Attend team meetings as scheduled by supervisor. 8. Other special duties as assigned by supervisor. 9. Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance. 10. Perform all duties in conformity to the adopted Board Policy. 11. Display professional appearance. 12. Perform in a professional manner.13. May be required to ride bus to and from school with student. In this case, the nurse's responsibility for the student begins at the time the student gets on the bus and ends when the student exits the bus.Other Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Serves as a role model for educators, students and parents in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings. 2. Helps instill in students and staff the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values. 3. Shall perform such other duties as the Governing Board may assign/determine. 4. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the County/District. 5. Observes Risk Reduction Safety Rules and Regulations of the Warren County ESC and School Districts, State, Federal OSHA laws and will be evaluated to the extent of compliance and implementation as an employee of such rules and regulations for safety in the workplace while visiting such sites in line of work duties.Additional Working Conditions: 1. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue. 2. Possible operation of a vehicle under inclement weather conditions. 3.
