Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel contract in Aurora, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care ICU experience and proficiency with complex critical care modalities including ECMO and CRRT.

Job Details

• Level II Trauma Center ICU with 38 beds, caring for a general mixed ICU population including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgery patients,
• Specialized modalities include post-operative open-heart surgery care, VV and VA ECMO, balloon pump, Impella, and CRRT,
• Bedside procedures include bronchoscopies, GI scopes, chest tube insertions, and arterial and central line insertions,
• Frequent drip titrations and advanced airway management are core components of daily care,
• Patient ratios are 2:1 or 1:1 depending on acuity,
• Equipment includes Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, Vigilance II monitors, Impella, Maquet Cardiohelp ECMO, Medtronic Vital Flow ECMO, and NICOM,
• EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred),
• Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM,
• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required,
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start,
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience required,
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration - no exceptions,
• One professional reference required,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

Additional Information

• Candidates with CVICU/CTICU experience (immediate post-operative open-heart surgery patient care) will be given priority consideration,
• Meditech EMR experience is preferred,
• The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with strong attention to detail,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - local candidates are not eligible, no exceptions,
• The facility is located in Aurora, CO, close to the Rocky Mountains, offering access to skiing and hiking depending on the season,
