Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Aurora, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience and the ability to float across inpatient units.

Job Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PC2) at a 345-bed, 3-time Magnet-designated hospital in Aurora, CO,
• Large cardiac patient population across two telemetry floors and a PCU,
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on both day and night shifts,
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM,
• 13-week contract,
• Floating required to all inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units,
• EMR: Meditech,
• RNs work alongside CNAs on most units,

Job Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of start),
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for PCU RNs,
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care PCU experience required,
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience strongly preferred,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration,
• One professional reference required,

Additional Information

• Chemo certification (ONC) is a nice-to-have and would allow scheduling on the Oncology unit,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - local candidates are not eligible,
