About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall nursing care of Labor and Delivery patients from admission to discharge, applying the principles of the nursing process within established policies and procedures
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection while performing disease prevention and restorative measures
• Respond to medical and environmental emergencies in a timely and competent manner
• Deliver competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care as the patient's primary nurse
• Float to Antepartum unit as needed

• Valid California RN License (must be verifiable via Nursys, uploaded within the last 2 weeks)
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Certification
• BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
• NRP Certification
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring - AWHONN Certification
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at travel rate; local candidates may be accepted at a local rate

• Experience with antepartum patient populations
• Familiarity with electronic learning and compliance module completion processes

• On-call not required, offering a more predictable contract schedule
