About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall nursing care plan for Labor and Delivery patients from admission through discharge, ensuring competent, compassionate, and cost-effective care
• Assure patient safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection while performing disease prevention and restorative measures
• Respond to medical and environmental emergencies in a timely and effective manner
• Apply the principles of the nursing process within established Patient Care Services policies and procedures
• Float to Antepartum unit as operationally required

• Valid California RN License (must be verifiable via Nursys within the last 2 weeks)
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Certification
• BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
• NRP Certification
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring - AWHONN Certification
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered at a local rate; candidates outside 50 miles are also welcome to apply

• Experience floating to Antepartum or similar maternal care settings
• Familiarity with electronic learning and compliance module completion processes

• Expected schedule of 36 hours per week in a dynamic Labor and Delivery environment in the San Francisco Bay Area
• No on-call requirement and no mandatory separation time for returning travelers
