Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building Administrator and classroom teacher, is responsible for supporting the elementary educational process. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description. Special Duties/Responsibilities: Duties include providing classroom support as well as recess and/or lunch supervision. Salaries: Salary Range: $27.38 - $31.13 Paraeducator A per 2026-2027 Public School Employees Salary Schedule Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation. Work Schedule: Start Date: September 1, 2026 Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Paid Hours: 4.75hours per day; 2.25 hours/day Learning Assistance Program/Title and 2.25 hours/day General Elementary and .25 hours/day Crossing Guard Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time office during spring break, winter break and summer, plus 10 paid holidays. Qualifications: Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following: Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; or Passed one of the following Professional Educator Standards Board approved assessments: ETS Para Pro Assessment Score of 455 or higher; Para Pathways Score of 324 in Reading and Writing and a Score of 325 in Mathematics; Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment Score of 220 or higher; or Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Training Program Score of 65% or higher. Upon hire, must completethe Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate. Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
