This position is for the 2026-2027 School Year. Audiologists works 195 days per year for 7.5 hours per day and earns $71,221.49 - $122,709.51, depending on experience.
As an Audiologist with NIA, you will assist in the identification of Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing children and in the development, implementation and follow-up of programs for Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing children.
Audiologist Job Duties:
Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, interpret results, and provide recommendations for treatment and follow-up.
Counsel students, families, teachers, and school staff on hearing loss, hearing aids, and assistive listening technology.
Evaluate, fit, troubleshoot, and monitor hearing aids, auditory training equipment, and classroom assistive listening systems.
Collaborate with physicians, schools, and community agencies to coordinate services and referrals.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, reports, equipment inventories, and student records.
Support program development, clinic operations, and departmental procedures.
Provide classroom consultations, noise assessments, and staff training on hearing-related services.
Ensure audiometric equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
Maintain professional licensure, participate in continuing education, and attend required meetings and trainings.
