About the Role:
Angels of Hope Home Care Agency LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support. Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support
  • Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) to promote independence and dignity
  • Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
  • Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed
  • Transport clients to appointments, community activities, and social outings
  • Support behavioral health needs using positive behavior support strategies
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Prior experience as a DSP, caregiver, CNA, or in a related human services role preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
