Mid-sized law firm seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3-8 years of experience, preferably with a background in employment law but not required. The position will expose the applicant to a wide range of litigation practice areas, but with a focus on employment matters.
Responsibilities:
- Independent caseload management
- Cultivate new client leads
- Appearances at Court proceedings – in person, telephonic, and virtual
- Manage EEOC/DHR filings
- Conduct depositions
- Delegate tasks to paralegals and/or other attorneys
- Manage/prioritize deadlines and delegated tasks
Qualifications:
- 3-8 years of litigation experience
- Active NY license to practice law
- Employment law experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of New York State and Federal Courts
- Familiarity with motion practice
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Effective communication skills
