Avionics Technician II

Job Details Job Location: Miramar, FL 33025 Position Type: Full Time Job Category: DOT - Safety Sensitive Position Summary The Avionic Technician II must demonstrate high mechanical aptitude and will inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components while maintaining a safe work environment and following all company and federal rules/ regulations. Duties & Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft avionics/accessories/oxygen equipment. Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required. Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for factory, shop and/or hangar positions. Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures. Participate in 5‑S activities. Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner. Operate ground support equipment as required. Assist with mechanical / electrical removals and installations. Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed. Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree 4+ years of relevant/technical work experience OR An additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree. The ability to teardown, inspection, parts requisition, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aircraft accessory/avionic/oxygen units to the component level. Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings. Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status. Must be computer literate, and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Preferred Requirements Master’s degree 7+ years of specific work experience Strong knowledge of avionic components Strong knowledge of accessory components Strong knowledge of oxygen components Digital selector panels FCC General Radio Telephone license Other The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing. #J-18808-Ljbffr
