Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Accountant located in 160 Dikeman Brooklyn, NY 11231.
The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable. Additional
responsibilities may include providing support during audits, reconciling accounts, and collaborating
with other departments to enhance financial processes.
Office Hours: 8:30am - 5pm (5 days a week)
Qualifications
- Proficiency in financial recordkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software and Microsoft Excel is a must
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Work experience in the construction, real estate, or related industries is a plus
Responsibilities
- Producing detailed job cost reports through Sage 300, invoice tracking
- Recording subcontractor AIAs, general conditions, and project-related costs in Sage 300,ensuring accurate and timely posting
- Managing and analyzing accounts payable data, processing high volumes of vendor invoices and
- subcontractor payment applications via checks
- Assisting with the compliance reviews of insurance certificates and workers’ compensation
audit
- Collaborating with project managers, accounting teams, and subcontractors to maintain
- accurate financial records and resolve discrepancies
