About the Role:

The Audiology Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the daily operations and clinical services of an audiology department or practice within the United States. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing audiology staff, and implementing best practices in hearing healthcare. The manager will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and drive continuous improvement in service delivery. Additionally, the role involves strategic planning, budgeting, and compliance with healthcare regulations to maintain operational excellence. Ultimately, the Audiology Manager ensures that the department meets both clinical and business objectives while fostering a supportive and professional environment for staff and patients alike.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D. preferred).
  • Current and valid state licensure to practice audiology in the United States.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical audiology experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of audiological diagnostic equipment, hearing aid technology, and patient care protocols.
  • Proficiency in healthcare compliance standards, including HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems specific to audiology or hearing healthcare.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent professional body.
  • Demonstrated success in managing budgets and operational workflows in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in community health initiatives or public health education related to hearing loss prevention.
  • Advanced training or coursework in healthcare administration or business management.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise audiology staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Oversee patient care services, ensuring accurate diagnostics, effective treatment plans, and patient satisfaction.
  • Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and procurement of audiology equipment and supplies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to comply with healthcare regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and administrative teams to coordinate patient care and optimize service delivery.
  • Analyze clinical and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement quality assurance initiatives.
  • Promote community outreach and education programs to raise awareness about hearing health and available services.
