Project to start right away. Pay is $53.31/hour. MUST have valid/active EE98J Electrical license.

Job Description:

This role focuses on installing and renovating electrical systems for two building projects at a police headquarters facility. You will install and upgrade wiring, conduit, panelboards, lighting, control devices, and emergency power systems in a commercial construction environment, working closely with other electricians and helpers to ensure safe, reliable, and code-compliant installations.

Essential Skills:

• Current EE98J electrical license in good standing.
• Proven experience in commercial construction electrical work, including new construction and renovation projects.
• Strong skills in electrical installation, including wiring, conduit, panelboards, and related systems.
• Ability to install and configure interior and exterior commercial lighting systems.
• Experience setting up main switchboards, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team with other electricians and helpers.
• Capability to perform work safely on ladders and lifts in a construction environment.
• Flexibility to work a 40-hour workweek with variable schedules, including weekends as needed.
• Experience with emergency power systems and control devices in commercial settings.
• Strong communication skills to coach and delegate tasks to helpers and team members.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Demonstrated reliability and accountability in meeting project schedules and quality expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Install, upgrade, and maintain electrical systems for two building renovation projects, including wiring, conduit, panelboards, and associated components.
• Install interior and exterior commercial lighting systems, including fixtures, controls, and related hardware for both new and renovated spaces.
• Set up and configure main switchboards, transformers, and circuit breakers to support building power distribution and emergency power systems.
• Install and connect control devices and emergency power systems in accordance with electrical codes and project specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical plans, diagrams, and specifications to perform accurate and compliant installations.
• Work on ladders and lifts to install overhead wiring, conduit, lighting fixtures, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with other electricians and helpers on-site, coordinating tasks to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Provide coaching and guidance to helpers and less experienced team members, delegating tasks appropriately to support team productivity.
• Inspect completed work to verify proper operation, safety, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and site rules, including the proper use of tools, equipment, ladders, and lifts in an active construction environment.

The pay range for this position is $53.31 - $53.31/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
