Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions to develop tailored treatment plans that align with their individual needs.
• Apply evidence-based practices to facilitate rehabilitation in outpatient orthopedic settings, focusing on spine-related issues when applicable.
• Make independent decisions to adjust treatments to maximize patient outcomes based on progress and specific circumstances.
• Implement department goals and objectives, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines governing rehabilitation practices.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring minimal paperwork while meeting compliance standards.
• Provide education to patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and recovery expectations, promoting active involvement in their rehabilitation process.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel, to manage reports, patient files, and communication efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on treating adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with a diverse patient demographic, offering customized rehabilitation strategies to help individuals regain strength, mobility, and independence. Establishing a strong rapport with patients and their families is crucial, as it lays the foundation for effective treatment and fosters long-term recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Completed a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT), or Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT) from an accredited program.
• Current professional licensure in the state of Florida, with the ability to maintain an active status throughout employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain CPR certification during orientation, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Preferred Experience

• Previous clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics is strongly preferred, with specialized training in spine rehabilitation being a significant advantage.
• Experience using EHR systems for documentation and care tracking is beneficial to streamline patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
