Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities to formulate effective treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.
• Develop and implement personalized therapy sessions that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced modalities to combat physical impairments.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress through electronic health records, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, promoting health maintenance strategies and strategies to improve overall wellness.
• Maintain compliance with all necessary state and federal regulations, and adhere to clinical standards set forth by professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions, as well as those seeking rehabilitation to enhance their functional independence. Our caseload includes a mix of post-surgical patients and those with degenerative conditions. Your expertise in orthopedic therapy will provide vital support in helping each patient achieve their recovery goals.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; higher degrees such as a Master's or Doctorate are preferred.
• Two years of relevant clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly in an orthopedic or outpatient setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to establish productive relationships with patients and colleagues alike.
• Skills in organization and time management, ensuring that all patient evaluations and treatments are conducted efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with a diverse patient population, specifically in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
