The Ford Agency is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Legislative Researcher for a well-established association focused on compliance and regulatory issues. This role centers on researching, synthesizing, and presenting complex legislation across multiple publications, turning dense regulatory information into clear, accessible content for a broad range of audiences. If you have a talent for breaking down complicated material and enjoy writing for varied readers, this could be a great opportunity for you!
Responsibilities Include:
• Research and analyze relevant new legislation and regulations
• Summarize laws, regulations, and other materials for surveys
• Screen, proofread and edit various bills and update compliance service chapters
• Act as the primary editor for multiple association publications
• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of experience in legal research, writing, and editing
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Comprehensive understanding of compliance and regulatory processes
• Working experience with online legal research databases
Compensation:
• $65,000 - $72,000
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area and available to start immediately.
