Duties

• Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
• Operate grill stations efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols at all times
• Handle cash register transactions accurately, providing friendly and prompt service to customers
• Take customer orders with enthusiasm, answer questions about menu items, and suggest popular choices when appropriate
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and plating dishes for service
• Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks seamlessly while maintaining a positive attitude

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen roles within the food industry is preferred
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, especially if familiar with meal planning or catering services
• Demonstrated culinary skills including knife proficiency, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as restaurants or fine dining establishments
• Kitchen experience involving food industry best practices, sanitation, and safety protocols is highly valued
