Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accounting manager to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting operations within a manufacturing environment. This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, supports cost accounting and inventory management processes, and maintains compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies. The Accounting Manager will lead a team of two accountants and collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and management to drive financial efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

· Prepare and post monthly journal entries ensuring accuracy and completeness.

· Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.

· Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

· Perform bank and account reconciliations, including intercompany reconciliations.

· Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.

· Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper accounting for business transactions.

· Assist with external and internal audits by preparing the required documentation and schedules.

· Identify and recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes.

· Active participant in the transition to a new ERP system including assistance in optimization after going live.

· Manage and process weekly payroll

· Any other duties assigned by the Controller.

Qualifications:

· Education:

o Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)

· Experience:

o 2-4 years of related experience

o Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

· Preferred Skills:

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

o Excellent oral and written communication skills.

o Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite. Epicor experience is highly preferred.

o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.

o Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

o Familiarity with financial analysis and budgeting.

o Self-starter with a focus on continuous improvement.

Working Conditions:

o Office-based with some travel to Randolph location when needed

o $90,000-$100,000 annually commensurate with experience
