Function fosters a collaborative and dynamic environment where every day we build the future.Key Responsibilities:Own key areas of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items and variances.Analyze financial results, investigate fluctuations, and provide clear explanations for balance sheet and income statement variances.Own accounting for key balance sheet and operational areas, including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany, other assets and liabilities, cost of sales, and other assigned areas.Prepare and review bank reconciliations, monitor cash activity, and support accurate cash application and related accounting entries.Maintain compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable financial reporting standards.Support internal and external audit activities by preparing requested schedules, documentation, and explanations.Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve the accuracy of financial reporting.Provide support on tax matters as needed, including preparation of workpapers for federal and state filings, responding to tax notices, maintaining tax calendars, and assisting with quarterly and year-end tax provisions.Support with review and integration of acquisition-related financials and other ad hoc finance projects as needed.Qualifications/Skills:4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably a mix of public accounting and start-up environment.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting practices.Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and audit support.Exposure to multi-entity or international operations.Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Nice to Have Items:Certified Public Accountant designation or active pursuit of certification.Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as Rillet, NetSuite, or similar platforms.Experience improving accounting processes, implementing internal controls, or supporting system upgrades.Demonstrated curiosity and aptitude for leveraging automation, AI-enabled tools, and new technologies to continuously improve accounting processes and scale operations.Exposure to subscription-based businesses or technology-enabled services.Your dedication to these responsibilities will directly contribute to the success of our platform and the satisfaction of our users.
