Educational Training Specialist – Multi – Summer Upward Bound Position Title: Educational Training Specialist‑Multi‑Summer Upward Bound. Position Type: Temporary Part‑Time. Salary: $45.60/hour. Principal Accountabilities Conduct and teach workshops, seminars, and courses using effective communication, classroom management, leadership, and teaching techniques. Develop new programs, workshops, seminars, courses, and syllabi; evaluate and revise existing programs. Select, maintain, and use materials, supplies, and equipment required for effective teaching and training. Maintain adequate participant/student records, including intake test results and counseling notes; evaluate and report participants’ progress and attendance, and prepare evaluations as required. Provide objective advisement and tutoring to participants/students as necessary to support successful program completion. Schedule, post, and maintain office hours to aid participants’ progress. Collaborate with other faculty and staff to facilitate routine department operations and achieve departmental goals. Participate in departmental, campus, or college meetings and serve on committees as required. Assist in developing proposal, program budget, and public relations efforts; facilitate routine departmental operations. Assist with extra‑curricular client activities as requested. Perform other related duties as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of teaching techniques and methods. Knowledge of relevant subject matter in the incumbent’s discipline/department. Knowledge of counseling skills and techniques. Knowledge of community resources and how to access them. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to develop rapport with students and staff. Ability to communicate subject matter content and relate to a diverse student body in a multicultural environment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Four (4) years of relevant experience.
