Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity in Marana, AZ is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support a 20-bed suburban hospital campus specializing in high-acuity acute care. This role focuses on the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of medications to patients of all ages, hospital staff, and designated areas, ensuring compliance with all relevant state, federal, DEA laws, and hospital policies.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with physicians on drug therapy and dosing, educating nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medications, promoting medication safety initiatives, managing patient profiles, monitoring and reporting adverse drug reactions, preparing IV admixtures and nutritional supplements, and maintaining narcotic accountability.

Candidates must have 3+ years of hospital experience in a high-acuity acute care setting, with specific experience in NICU and cardiac cases involving devices such as Impella and ECMO.

Schedule:

• Day shifts, Monday through Friday

Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years in hospital pharmacy, particularly in high-acuity acute care environments
• NICU experience
• Familiarity with cardiac critical care cases (Impella, ECMO)
• Strong knowledge of medication safety and compliance standards
