Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) care is sought for a position in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This role involves providing specialized care for level 3 NICU infants, including high-frequency ventilator management, conventional ventilation, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), non-invasive ventilation (NIMV), high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nitric oxide therapy, and whole-body cooling. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Fort Smith, Arkansas
• Shift: Nights, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); at least 2 years of experience in a level 3 or 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU); experience caring for NICU infants including ventilator management, nitric oxide, and whole-body cooling.
• Preferred Qualifications: STABLE certification
• Float: Float rotation may be required to mother-baby or pediatric units, but not likely given high census; last travelers were here 6 months ago and did not float.
• Additional Information: Care involves attending high-risk deliveries and all cesarean section deliveries, as well as managing various ventilator and feeding modalities, UAC, UVC, PICC, and PIV lines. The role emphasizes compassionate and expert neonatal care within a facility recognized for exceptional patient safety and care.
