Senior Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst

Tinton Falls, NJ Local to NJ and NY hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst to work in our Corporate Operations Initiative department. The Senior Developer/Analyst will build reporting and analysis packages to better understand customer interactions. To be successful in this role, you should be able to develop disparate data sources into cohesive customer interaction journeys. You will also need to be able to identify and convey strategic insights from large data sources. This is a role that welcomes creativity of thought and design in trying to better understand the customer experience. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Backend Development: Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, abstracts up from low-level information to a general understanding, and works with customers to uncover unmet business needs. Develops data models that both support the underlying requirement and are supportable with ETL processes. Must have very strong SQL development skills.
• Frontend Development: Designs, develops and maintains reports, dashboards and analytical tools (Cubes, ad-hoc queries, etc.).

Business Acumen: Ability to not only process and visualize data from an IT perspective, but also understand the business context behind the data. Ability to understand the key mission behind each provided solution and understand how that solution ties into the group or company's overall goals.

On-going Support: Enhance existing reports/dashboards to improve performance and presentation. Help support the underlying ETL architecture and data warehouse.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Software Engineering disciplines, Data Analytics, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Exp with SSIS.
• Very strong SQL skills – ability to develop and support large SQL queries.
• Other BI oriented languages a plus (Python, R, etc.)
• Advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills.
• Solves complex problems, takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
• Experience analyzing large data sets.
• Proficient to Advanced experience in Microsoft Power BI Virtualization Tools and Technology (SSRS and PowerBI), SQL Data Tools, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) and Extract Transform, Load (ETL).
• Proficient in using Visual Studio to develop SSRS reports.
