Job Summary The NDT Assistant supports certified Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technicians in performing inspections to evaluate the integrity of materials, components, and structures without causing damage. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to build a career in NDT and gain hands-on experience under the supervision of qualified personnel. This position requires a strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and willingness to learn industry codes, standards, and inspection techniques. Duties Prepare and maintain inspection equipment, tools, and consumables. Set up test areas, including surface preparation and part positioning. Assist in documenting results of inspections. Carry equipment to support inspection operations. Follow written procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management. Adapt to changing project requirements and schedules, including early morning, weekend, or overnight work as needed. Document On The Job (OTJ) experience hours in each inspection method. Qualifications High School Diploma Required 40 Hour – Radiation Safety Certificate preferred (not required) Certifications / Licenses None Required Physical Demands Physical examination required to obtain medical clearance to work, report from medical professional.
