In this role, the Reverse Mortgage Underwriter will evaluate borrower documentation, collateral, credit, income, assets, and supporting file details to determine eligibility under FHA, HECM, and Reverse Proprietary Product guidelines . The ideal candidate has deep reverse mortgage underwriting experience, strong compliance judgment, and the ability to issue clear, accurate decisions within expected turn times and holds an active and current F ederal H ousing A dministration D irect E ndorsement. Must-Have Qualifications ü Minimum of 3 years of Reverse Mortgage Underwriting experience. ü Strong knowledge of FHA, HECM, and Reverse Proprietary lending guidelines. ü Ability to review credit, income, asset, collateral, third-party, fraud, judgment, and lien documentation. ü Demonstrated ability to make accurate, compliant underwriting decisions within 24–48 hour turn times. ü Exceptional attention to detail, analytical judgment, and problem-solving skills. ü Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain decisions and conditions. ü Ability to collaborate effectively with loan officers, processors, and mortgage operations teams. Key Responsibilities · Perform comprehensive loan file reviews to ensure compliance with company, investor, FHA, HECM, and Reverse Proprietary guidelines.

• Analyze credit, income, asset, collateral, and supporting documentation to determine loan eligibility.
• Evaluate files for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify potential red flags and proactively address underwriting concerns.
• Review third-party reports, fraud reports, judgment searches, lien searches, and related documentation.
• Communicate underwriting decisions, conditions, and required documentation clearly and professionally.
• Partner with loan officers, processors, and mortgage operations teams to resolve file issues and support timely approvals.
• Maintain productivity standards and meet required underwriting turn times.
