Material Coordinator

B3 Enterprises is seeking a Materiel Coordinator to support Air Force Logistics Readiness Squadron operations at the United States Air Force Academy. This position supports installation and mission requirements through materiel coordination, inventory control, equipment accountability, customer support, and supply system management. This includes but is not limited to materiel and cargo management activities, the base Equipment Accountability program, and the use of ELMS and ILS-S. This role is well-suited for candidates with Air Force or DoD logistics experience, particularly in materiel management, cargo management, warehouse operations, and equipment property/weapon accountability. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily materiel management activities in support of Air Force LRS operations. Receive, inspect, process, store, issue, transfer, and track supplies, materials, and equipment. Maintain accurate records for receipts, issues, turn‑ins, transfers, due‑ins, and due‑outs. Support inventory control through cycle counts, reconciliations, spot checks, and record accuracy reviews. Assist with the execution of the base Equipment Accountability program. Process and monitor transactions in Government logistics systems, including Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) and Integrated Logistics Systems‑Supply (ILS‑S), as required. Research and resolve routine supply discrepancies, shipping issues, and documentation errors. Coordinate with military, civilian, and contractor personnel to resolve materiel support issues. Provide customer support regarding supply status, issue processing, and accountability actions. Prepare reports, logs, and status updates to support operational requirements. Support warehouse and storage functions, including stock organization, shelf‑life review, and material handling. Comply with safety, storage, handling, and accountability requirements. Support surge, exercise, deployment, or contingency logistics requirements, as needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, supply, warehouse operations, materiel management, or a related field. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Requires standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, and walking across large warehouse facilities. Requires the safe operation of Materiel Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and pallet jacks. May require the use of warehouse tools (e.g., industrial saws for custom crating, banding equipment, and packaging tools). Working knowledge of inventory management, receiving, storage, issue, and accountability procedures. Experience using standard office software and logistics‑related information systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with military, civilian, and contractor personnel. Ability to obtain and maintain installation access. Secret clearance, or ability to obtain one. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in Air Force materiel management, traffic management, or supply operations. AFSC 2T0 (Traffic Management) or 2S0 (Materiel Management) experience is preferred. Familiarity with equipment accountability and property management processes. Experience with ELMS, legacy DPAS‑related processes, and ILS‑S. Experience supporting a DoD services contract. Forklift or Material handling equipment qualification, if required for the assigned work center. This position is performed in a combination of office and warehouse settings. The work environment may include varying temperatures, equipment noise, and standard warehouse hazards. Use of personal protective equipment may be required based on assigned duties.
