Real Estate Associate / Special Counsel

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Real Estate Associate or Special Counsel with a focus on lender-side work in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of law firm experience and a strong background in representing lenders in commercial real estate loans. A commitment to dedicating at least 60% of their time to lender-side work is essential. Duties Represent lenders in commercial real estate loan transactions. Advise clients on construction loan matters, if applicable. Collaborate with team members to support the Real Estate Department's growth. Draft and review legal documents with precision and clarity. Requirements Minimum of six years of law firm experience. Significant experience in lender-side commercial real estate loans. Outstanding academic credentials. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the New York State Bar. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
