VP Head of Executive Compensation

Job Description The VP Head of Executive Compensation is a critical role on the Takeda Total Rewards team. The Vice President of Global Executive Compensation will lead the overall design, implementation, and communication of Takeda’s executive compensation and equity programs. This leader will develop interactions with the Board, Shareholders, Executives, Trustees and oversight bodies for all executive compensation and equity program related matters. They will develop materials for Compensation Committee review and discussion and manage other strategic aspects of executive compensation and equity design and management. In this complex, global company with deep Japanese roots, the leader will work with finance, legal and global compensation to oversee Japanese equity program administration, including the administration and management of the Japanese based annual equity programs for both internal/external directors and Japanese based executives and employees. Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and communication of global executive compensation and equity programs. Develop and maintain relationships with the Board, shareholders, executives, and trustees. Prepare materials for Compensation Committee review and discussion. Oversee Japanese equity program administration and management. Provide thought leadership and execution of executive compensation strategy. Lead leveling of senior executive roles. Own senior executive population including contracts, benefits and other perquisites. Ensure regulatory disclosures and global compensation regulation compliance. Develop overall strategy and design of executive compensation programs and practices. Qualifications 10+ years in global compensation and an additional 5+ years in executive compensation. Strong understanding of the finance and accounting impact of compensation plan design. Excellent analytical and modeling skills. Low‑ego, hands‑on and strategic with ability to work across time zones and cultures. Strong collaborative and supportive leadership style. Benefits Summary Short‑term and long‑term incentive plans. The actual base salary offered may depend on qualifications, experience, unique skills, education, certifications, and job location.
